VOLUNTEER CLEARANCE REPORTS

There is an active volunteer program at Pineridge School. Volunteers work with the teachers to support classroom learning.  Volunteers also provide assistance as needed in the Learning Commons, the workroom, and the office.  Further volunteer opportunities exist with field trips, and special projects.

All volunteers with the Calgary Board of Education must have a police security clearance completed prior to volunteering with the school. These must be completed once every five years. They are easy and FREE to obtain, and only take minutes of your time to apply for.  If you think you may like to volunteer at the school at any point, please stop by the office, with identification, at your earliest convenience, as security clearances take approximately 6 weeks to be completed.

A school administrator will verify your identity and register you in the volunteer database. You will then be provided with a letter enabling you to obtain a police information check from the Calgary Police Service (CPS). The CPS has an online system, which you will then use to obtain your police check. Once completed, your security clearance will automatically be forwarded to the school.

If you are unable to complete the process online, you may visit a police information check location instead.
